Apple TV update
I am getting this message " software for this Apple TV is not currently available"
I have updated my iTunes version but still not working
Which model do you have?
What is the current firmware?

Apple tv2 I believe model MC572B/A . Currently has software 5.0.2 (4250)
It either says your Apple TV is upto date or Apple tv can't download the latest update right now (it says this all the time)
Restore via iTunes
Do not forget to unplug the power cable. When you leave it in with a 2nd gen device, it will show the error message above.
Thanks for the "unplug power cord" tip. That did the trick. Otherwise I got the error in iTunes that the apple tv was not an eligible version.
