Q: how do i upgrade my 32 gb 3g ipod touch

I have been trying to upgrade my I pod touch 3rd generation model # mc008ll. I want to download games and it wont let me. It says I need to upgrade. Please help. Thank YOu!!!!

That model can not be upgraded beyond 5.1.1.
