We are having a 60th birthday party for my husband and I made a slide show in photos. I also have a utube video to show. What is the best way to show these on the TV at the venue?

It's impossible to answer without knowing what the facilities at the venue are.
I know it's a 60" TV. I sent an email asking if has usb ports and is internet ready.
This is the response from the venue: It has a standard PC video cable but that does not play sound, just video. It does have HDMI input ports and I believe if you hook up through there then you do have sound. The only cable I have is the PC video cable.
Does your Mac have a HDMI port? Purchase a HDMI cable. Otherwise there will be no sound.
BTW there really is no such thing as a "standard PC Video cable'. I strongly urge you to go visit the venue and see the TV for yourself. A lot of folks find themselves at events like this lost as the venue are clueless and they're not very knowledgeable either. Simply you have to go look.
