Q: The screen of my macbook is flickering since from last night. How can I fix it?

The screen of my macbook is flickering since from last night. I upgraded iOS system and restarted my macbook several times, but it doesn't work out. The screen is flickering so badly that I feel so dizzy watching it and can't do any of my stuff with it.

How can I fix the problem?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Good day anitarain,

I am sure it must be disconcerting to have your new MacBook's video start flickering, making it unusable. I know it would frustrate me. Let's see if we can get you back on the road to enjoying your computer.

I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays.

In particular the section titled No video or no signal, image distortion, "snow," or flickering. Since you are not using an external display skip down to the parts titled Reset the system and Reset the resolution -

    Reset the system

You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.

    Reset the resolution

Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:

    1. Start up in Safe Mode.
    2. From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
    3. Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
    4. Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
    5. Restart your computer.

    Lastly, this section -

If you tried all of these steps for your display and the video issues persist, contact Apple technical support or take your Apple computer to the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail Store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ (available in some countries only).

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Safe computing.
