I geocache. I often use Google Maps to find a location using the coordinates of the cache site. Thought I'd try Apple's Maps.
I put these coordinates in the search field: N 43° 34.232 W 080° 28.023 and they led me to some place in Kazakhstan. Try it yourself.
Thing is these coordinates are about 3 miles away from me in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Try this:
43° 34.232 -080° 28.023
Does it work if you input without the N and W and instead use -80°28.023?

You need to put the 'N' and 'W' after the number.
You also don't need much in the way of punctuation. Just spaces to separate the parts.
Thanks again. Usually I just copy/paste the coordinates from the geocaching site. I'm not being political here but I'll likely stick to Google Maps as it seems to understand the paste without having to remove/add anything. But it's good to know what to do if ever I need Apple Maps and I appreciate your taking the time to sort this out for me.
