Macbook Pro updating issue

My macbook will not let me download app store or update to latest software. It also does not allow me to get on some websites.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

More information is required. What is the EXACT model/year MBP that you have?

If you are running 10.5.8 as your profile indicates, be advised that App store access requires 10.6.8 OSX or newer.

This will help:

You will have to order a 10.6.3 DVD,

install it and fully update via Software Update via the Mac App Store as far as your model permits

These are the requirments for Lion (10.7)
