Q: Disable network changes on other devices

How do I turn off the automatic sync of network settings between devices?

Every time i switch from Wifi to 4G on my iPhone 5c all my other devices also disconnects from the Wifi, and i have to manually reconnect them.

This happens on both my iPad Air and my Macbook Pro, is it maybe a iCloud issue, or what?

Very annoying...

    There is no such automatic network sync. Not in the sense you describe. Sounds more like you have a problem with your wireless network.

    What happens is that when i "forget" the Wifi network in order to use 4G on iPhone, it is also "forgotten" on Macbook and iPad.

    Nothing happens on the network side (how would that be possible?), it happens instantly, and every time i do this, and it only affects the Apple products.

    Could it be related to the keychain?

    Ah, there it is...

    Would have been nice to be able to choose which keys should be updtaed between devices, but I guess I just have to turn it off and use the local keys.

    The real issue is that it is not possible to switch between Wifi and 3G/4G without "forgetting" the Wifi.

    That is NOT what you said. Those network settings are synced. Why in the world are you 'forgetting' the network in order to use cellular data? Why not just turn off the WiFi? You're making things much more difficult than they have to be.

    I need to share the cellular network connection with my Macbook, and that is not possible with wifi turned off. Nothing strange or difficult  at all. I was just not aware that iCloud keychain would delete the network on all devices if I removed it on one. The main issue is still that there is no way to change from wifi to cellular data without turning it off, one way or the other.

    Sure there is. Once you enable the personal hotspot feature on the phone you can connect to it using your Macbook. No need to forget the WiFi network you're in range of. I do it all the time for testing external connectivity to systems on your network.
