How to copy a cd/dvd to another cd/dvd?

How can I copy a cd or dvd to another disk without using iTunes?

I know I can do it with Raxio, But is there a cheaper alternative?

If these are commercial DVD movie disks, it violates all copyright laws

to make duplicates in any form regardless of intended use.

Commercial music CDs can be duplicated only for personal use and distributing

them to others, with or without monetary compensation, also violates copyright laws.

Thats a pretty elegant solution considering you don't want to buy a commercial app for burning. Also as woodmeister50 indicated, if these are commercial DVDs then this is illegal and likely will not work anyway.

I am always amazed how some Apple admires can't get that Apple is not a perfect system, And my be, my be, that Windows may have some features better than Apple.

I was Windows user for many years and moved to Apple because I think its by far a better system, but that didn't make a blind admirer.

Copy the files to the Mac first, then insert a blank DVD and copy from the Mac to the DVD. Use Apple's Burn utility. Simply select the files, right click and burn to the DVD.
