back up didn't back up movie?

fully backed up iPhone 5 to my desktop mac but can't find a recent 3 minute movie I made. I had to do a reset of the phone. does a back up not back up my movies? Isn't a full back up all files backed up. I'm hoping it's somewhere, as the movie I shot was priceless 🙂
