General iChat questions for newbie to iChat

Hi gang. A couple of things have me confused and I seem to get conflicting answers. I have an Intel 20" iMac w/ built in iSight

1) If I start a video chat in iChat AV, will it, by default, use the built in mic on my screen for me to talk, or do I need to get a USB mic?

2) I notice that the iSight always displays a reversed or mirror image on my screen in PhotoBooth or when I try the test iChat AV using appleu3test01. Is this normal? Does it show the image correctly on the other end? Is there a way to switch it to show a true image by default? And why does it do this?

Thanks

Hi

1) if it's the only mic you have attached then yes, if you have another mic(USB) then you can change by going to ichat prefs/video and change microphone.

2) That's normal, apple made it that way because your used to looking yourself in a mirror(your brain wont get confused), it show's the image correct on the other end.

If you what to change try iGlasses http://www.ecamm.com/mac/iglasses/
