Q: Wallet not showing transactions

Hi, wallet is not showing transactions on my 6s. I checked with the bank and the transactions have gone through, and I get a paper receipt from the vendor, but nothing on my phone. Thanks!

    Hi Dana

    To view your card activity for Apple Pay payments made using your iPhone:

    - Open the Wallet app and tap on the credit or debit card.

    - The most recent activity may appear on the front.

    - To view a list of your recent transactions on the back of the card, tap the More Info icon (the letter "i" in a circle) towards the lower right corner of the screen.

    Thanks for responding. I've done all of that and it won't show the transactions. There's just a line where the amount should be.

    Try restarting (or, if that doesn't work, force restarting) your iPhone:

    - Restart: press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears; drag the slider to turn your iPhone off; when it has finished turning off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

    - Force restart: press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for around 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

    You may need to wait until you use Apple Pay again to see whether that helps.

    Thanks Jonathon. I did the reset and no luck. As you said it may show up next time I use it. I did remember that when I used it yesterday I pulled the phone away thinking it wasn't working, but several seconds later the transaction went through. Maybe I pulled the phone away too soon?

    Hi Dana

    If neither restarting your iPhone nor holding it near the terminal for a little longer helps, try these steps:

    - Go to the back of the card in Wallet (via the method described previously);

    - Turn off Card Notifications for that card;

    - Tap on Done at the top right of the screen;

    - Quit the Wallet app (double-press on your Home button and swipe up on the app preview);

    - Restart your iPhone, return to Wallet and re-enable that setting.

    If this (speculative) suggestion does not help, you may next wish to contact Apple Support:

    Thanks Jonathan. It didn't work. I did call Apple Support this afternoon, and the tech I talked to has the same problem. We are thinking it's a problem with the new "chip" cards. My old card worked fine, didn't have  chip, the new one has the chip.

    My Amex has a chip and I see recent transactions in Wallet.

    SO far it's the Visa cards that aren't recording.

    Hi Dana

    Have you tested via a further transaction since following the previous suggestion?

    If so, contact your bank and ask them to clarify exactly what should be shown on the front and back of your card within Wallet for those specific transactions. In some cases, for example, only initial authorisations may be supposed to be shown. If what you are seeing differs from what they describe, ask them to check for any issues on their side.

    Ultimately, the information on your card or bank statement provides confirmation of the final transaction value.

    Talked to the bank. They said they didn't know why it wasn't working. I'm beginning to think that this problem is related to the last os upgrade. The new version fixed the credit cards being too large and not showing the card numbers. In doing that, they may have messed up the transaction view. As I said, I see a line where the amount should be.
