Texts via Siri on the Watch

After updating my watch, I tried sending texts via Siri. Unlike previous versions, there was no confirmation via sounds or haptics, that the message was sent. Touching the text bubble did not send it. In fact, touching the whole screen did nothing. Anyone have any suggestions?

That did not solve the problem. The whole screen is unresponsive when sending Siri dictated texts. There's no way of confirming [sound, haptic, SOMEthing] that it got sent. When I touch the "Don't send" box, it is responsive in the way it used to be before the update. Looks like a BUG for Apple to solve. This is especially important to us who Watch-text while driving!

When every other thing seems to work as it should, why should I have to unpair/repair force restart? This has only occurred since the updating today of watch 2.0.1. That's the only relevant change as far as I can see. And, after it took me two bloody hours to update my new watch to the new 2.0.1 version, you can understand why I'm really reluctant to do anything that remotely smells of 'major' to try to fix this nuisance.

Hi

To send messages via Siri:

- Instruct Siri to send a message (eg "Hey Siri, send a message to <whom> saying <what>");

- Review what you have dictated;

- Then either lower your wrist again to send it or tell Siri to send it (eg "Hey Siri, send it").

- There is no need to touch the screen, unless you wish to tap on Don't Send to cancel the operation.

There is no confirmation to 'send' the text. I tried screaming at Siri to "send it" but she won't listen. If you lower your watch and wait long enough without doing anything else on the watch, the message will eventually send. But you will have to open your messages later to confirm it was actually sent and not accidentally cancelled.

So it's a bug or at least a gap in the use case.

After you have finished dictating your message, your watch states on the screen "OK, I'll send this:".

If you prefer to send that way rather than by lowering your wrist, you first need to say "Hey Siri" again (or press and hold the Digital Crown), otherwise Siri will not be listening to you.
