My iPhone 6 doesn't send emails but recieves them fine

For the last few weeks my hotmail acvoynt linked to my iPhone has been receiving messages fine but when I have come to send one it says that the username or password to hotmail account it incorrect. I've checked it and it's not and I've changed my password also but I'm still getting the same error message. The account it obviously linked ok as I can receive emails. Ive looked at all the settings things I think i can and I can't see any reason it won't work and I have also logged into my account via web and that sends emails fine. Any ideas/suggestions?

Did you check everywhere in the settings? Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.

Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
