Q: Desktop Scanner compatible with OSX10.10

Dear experts,

I have the Canon DR-C225W as a desktop scanner in use. Unfortunately this scanner only operates with the software provided by Canon.

Which desktop scanner can be integrated in the OS X settings and can be used without the separate software. My goal is to get a desktop scanner for use with DevonThink Pro Office.
