Q: iCloud Photo Stream on iPhone 6 NOT syncing with Photos on iMac

Hi everyone,

I didn't have an issue with this until last week. I use iCloud on my iPhone 6 and iOS 9.1 and Photos on my iMac (OSX 10.10.5). Photos between my iMac and iPhone used to sync flawlessly until they didn't, for some strange reason. Signing out of iCloud on my iPhone and signing back in seems to remedy the issue, but doesn't that negate the whole point of having it "sync" automatically? I'm open to whatever suggestions you may have.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 3.4Ghz i7, 32GB RAM

What is not syncing: your My Photo Stream or your iCloud Photo Library?

My iPhone isn't syncing with Photos on my iMac. The other way it seems to work fine.

How are you trying to sync? With My Photo Stream or the iCloud Photo Library?

Hi Old Toad, and thanks for posting the screenshot. Much obliged.

On my iMac, all three options are checked. On my iPhone, the first and the third options are checked.

The following is designed to help jumpstart the MPS but I can't help with the iCloud Photo Library aspect:

Disable My Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Sharing in the System/iCloud preference pane

and in Photo's iCloud preference pane.

Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.
