Q: trying to back up

trying to back up iphone 5c.  i tunes says it cannot as the phone does not have latest version of itunes.  my software is up to date.  no issue with other devices.

 

It did allow me earlier to sync, but no longer.  it did say then to update something and I said later, having thought I had completed the update.

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.1

    If you are trying to backup the phone to the computer and iTunes, the error you are receiving is referring to iTunes on the computer. Use of iOS 9 requires the latest version of iTunes for Windows, v12.3.1, depending on what version of Windows you are using. It is not referring to iTunes on the iPhone.
