My activity monitor is out of date. I do not have the install disc. How do I update this? I need to delete MacKeeper and MegaBackup, neither are in my applications folder both are in Launchpad and will not move to trash.

Run it and post the report here.
To remove apps from the Launch Pad, hold the Option key then click the X to delete.
Apps cannot be deleted using the Activity Monitor app.
Your issue has nothing to do with Activity Monitor. What you need are instructions on how to uninstall the two apps.

The link for the MegaBckup will not open on my computer.
Safari can’t open the file “MaxUninstaller_Setup-2.exe” because no available application can open it.

Thanks Carolyn FYI your instructions are for it MegaBackup was if it was in the applications folder which it is not, I can only see it in LaunchPad and when I click to delete it no X appears around it and it will not allow me to drag it to the trash can.
