Q: How can I set up the iMac 5K screen in any other resolution? For example 1920x1080?

I'm used to adjust the screen resolution from a dropdown menu we used to have in Mac OS X, how can this be enabled in El Capitan therefore the screen settings can also offer any other resolution the display can be set up to ?

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X El Capitan (10.11), 27" VESA mount

After searching around the web I found the solution, you have to click on Scaled button while pressing the option key to reveal the other resolution settings:

For other resolutions not shown in Apple's list you can use the Apps out there.
