Q: New iphone not connecting to home wifi but connects to public wifi

I received my iPhone 6s Plus. It connects to outside public wifi ( I am subscriber of xfinity and it got connected to xfinity hotspot wifi) but it is not getting connected to my home wifi. There is nothing wrong with router as other devices connect.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.1

    • Try restarting the router
    • Make sure the router's firm ware is up-to-date.
    • You also might try to be a little more specific about what :not getting connected" means.

    Thanks for the reply.

Sorry I should have mentioned that I had checked router and firmware is fine.

I had restarted router as well as phone couple of times.

Also I tried resetting network on iPhone.

I should mention that the router works with earlier phone, Tablet, TV etc.

The actual problem is when I choose my wifi network, it asks for password and when I provide that it keeps on trying to connect like it is in constant loop, and finally it gives up and connects to another available wifi network which is public xfinity wifi.

Anything else I should try ?

    Regards,
