wireless keyboard keys working erratically after cleaning

My apple wireless keyboard is malfunctioning after I swiped with a damp cloth. Only some keys are typing wrong characters, diagonally: 2 3 e r d f c v and when CAPS is ON it types many characters with the stroke of one key. The light on the caps key is not turning on and off (green light).

How to repair this? I tried PRAM, switched baterries, now only hope is to let it rest and see if it was the moisture the cause of the issue? All system preferences have been restored to default. Anything else?

This is REALLy annoying, I can't type on this very pricey keyboard! Purchased 1 year ago and running Yosemite on a MacBook Pro.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

If your wireless or USB keyboard doesn't work

If your Wi-Fi is capable of generating a 5 GHz signal, try that.

Restart the computer holding down the command - option/alt - P - R keys before the gray screen appears. Continue to hold until you hear the startup chime for the second time.

Reset NVRAM/PRAM
