IOS 9.1, IPad 4th generation. Giving it to my father in-law and want to configure his email for him. His account is with Cablevision, Optimum online, and they only support POP. When I try and add his email via Mail -> Add account -> Other, it takes all the information and thinks it can be an IMAP account. There does not seem to be anyway to change it to a POP account or configure it as such. Ideas?

ios 9.x seems to have introduced some hassles with pop accounts.
One poster suggested, defining mail account as imap use wrong userid and password. Mail gives error. Lets you change to pop.
You could try another mail client. Try microsoft outlook for instance.
