I pod wont connect to audio system

I updated my iPod to 9.1 the other day and now it will not connect to my hifi system. It will charge it but I can't play music through It. My iPad will connect and play music no problem but it doesent have the update. What can I do to resolve this issue?

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset the audio system if a reset exists

- Contact the audio system manufacturer/go to their support site. Sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility and you have to wait for either an iOS update or update to the audio system

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
