I changed the admin password on my MacBook Pro, shut down and now can't log back in. Can I fix this, please?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

I understand the you changed the administrator password on your Mac and are now unable to log in after shutting down your computer. In this situation, I would first suggest reading over the information in the attached article for help logging in.

If you are still unable to log in, please refer to the attached User Tip created by mende1 for instruction on how to reset your administrator password using Recovery.
