how to get iWork for iOS free for newly purchased iphone 6s

I have recently purchased iPhone 6s. How do I get iWork apps free ? When I try to download Keynote or Pages or other iWork app, it shows me that it is not free and I need to purchase it. should I not get it free with the new iPhone purchase?
