Q: What button on the new Siri Remote turn a TV on or off?

According to documentation and the new TVOS Interface its possible, but there is not button listed anywhere.

A:

I finally figured it out!

Hold the Home button and choose sleep. This will send a turn off command as well. Pressing the Home button while the TV is off while send a turn on command.

doubt it, tv's ir port commands to turn the tv off are likely to differ from tv manufacture to manufacture likely they mean turn off the appletv only

What is it you actually doubt? The part that Apple says you can do it in the Help Document I linked to? or That I posted how you do it?

Also Apple posted a KB article on it:

Use your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote to control your TV or receiver - Apple Support

It explains how it technically works over HDMI or IR.

How do you have so many points on here? You should read things before you post.
