iPhoto messes up with my slideshow when exporting to iTunes

So, I put in many hours of labor composing my slideshow and carefully adjusting effects, transitions etc., only to find that after completing export to iTunes some effects (Ken Burns effects, panning) are gone from some stills when I play it in fullscreen mode both in iPhoto and iTunes!! The destination format appears to be m4v, not Apple QuickTime. But maybe this has nothing to do with that issue. Anyways, would be grateful if someone shared his solution (in case he/she finds one) with me.

OS X and hardware as indicated at the bottom. iPhoto 9.4.3, iTunes 10.6.3

Mac OS X (10.7.5), MacBook Pro 15.4 mid-2012
