Q: Printer Driver for Canon Printer are incompatible with El Capitan

By downloading the new version of the apple operating system "El Capitan" I wondered, why the canon printer driver, which I used in "Mavericks" are incompatible with El Capitan. No one, neither the CANON Corporation nor the Apple Company, can help. For me it is unacceptable, that Apple brings up a new operating system without checking the main components of a program (e. g. printing and scanning).

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

    Hi John, The printers too old: that may be but I have "age-old" Canon Multifunction that still operate perfectly with ElCapitan. On the other hand it is always good to check for firmware updates (I always forget about that, and never did). Ciao.
