Oct 30, 2015 9:52 AM in response to hilo_atby rkaufmann87,What I'd recommend is installing from your OS X Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD, then installing the 10.6.8 update combo (Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1) and then open the Mac App store and upgrade to the current release of OS X which is El Capitan, 10.11.1. Yosemite is no longer available, however you might be able to get it from the Mac App Store by logging in and then click the previous purchases tab. It might still show up.

Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery - Apple Support
So, either use/get the Snow Leopard install disk or use the clone you made before erasing to clone your system back.
