This also worked for me. Sound is working fine as well as Bluetooth and no exclamation marks left in Device Manager. Perfect:

When Bootcamp hangs at Realtek Audio, Go to Task Manager, select "More details" (at bottom left) to see list of all tasks running. scroll down for "Realtek Setup", click on it and press "End task" button at bottom right. The rest of the Boot Camp driver installation will then continue normally.

This helped tremendously. I did though have to go back and run the BootCamp Setup.exe

Hi! Hoping for help from better minds than mine. I have a Mid 2015 MBP Retina OSX El Capitan.

I also had a Boot Camp installation of Windows 10 hang at the Realtek audio step. Stupidly, I cancelled the installation before reading this entire thread ;/

I did go to the Task manager and stopped the Realtek installation. But since I had earlier pressed the cancel button for the BC install but nothing was responding, it cancelled and I got a message saying the BootCamp installation did not complete.

So I am now in the BC Assistant on the Mac side downloading the windows support software. Sorry to sound stupid, but do I just reboot in windows and install it from the USB (is it one executable file)?

Or do I need to delete the partition and start over since some of the drivers installed but not others? I am assuming that Windows is only partially installed?

    Thanks in advance!

    BSA

Yes, run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder again.

Thank you! Just got back from a trip and finished used this fix. Looks to have installed properly. I did have to skip the Realtek Audio installation again using the task manager, but the rest of the installation went smoothly. I seem to have audio but have not fully tested it.

I will reinstall the Realtek driver by itself. Is there any other QC I should do to make sure everything installed properly?

Thanks again for all the help!

Look at Device Manager, and look for any unknown devices (yellow triangle and exclamation mark). You can do the same for 'hidden devices' by using the View Menu in Device Manager.

Well, i went through the same problem. initially, i did what was advised on this discussion and only worked for earplugs . but, once i restarted my system it stopped working. then i went to BootCamp\Drivers\Cirrus and installed both drives and started working properly. Give it try.
