Q: If you find that iCloud for Windows and Outlook 2016 are not working together - see here:

If youre having any problem with iCloud (V4. or V5) and Outlook 2016 I urge you to send feed back to Apple via :

http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html

Apple may then sit up and take notice if they get deluged with similar feedback regarding .

Why not copy and paste what member Uwe Grunewald sent them - see his post on pg 9 of the thread (along with other users posts) Is iCloud compatible with Outlook 2016?

I'm sure he wont mind me copying the comments that he sent via feedback here - so you can send similar notification to Apple):

"When will iCloud for Windows support Outlook 2016? The number of annoyed users is growing every day by 1.000 or more.

It can't be that hard to communicate, that the problem is known and addressed.

Getting iCloud for Windows 5.0 out recently w/o solving the minor Outlook 2016 compatibility issue is a shame and a major disconnect of the worlds largest software ecosystems."

You can modify it if you so wish, but his comments say it all really.

But lets all keep the pressure on them by sending in feedback, and you never know we might get this sorted

follow this link to get your calendar into Outlook.. I just did it.  It took all of two minutes and my calendar was in Outlook.  It's a temporary fix but it works.

iCloud: Share a calendar with others

I've called Apple and screamed at several people (literally) to get to someone who knew how to work around the issue.  He also assured me that he's received several of these calls and Apple is working on the issue.  I told him that Apple needs to start reading these posts because of the thousands of people who are affected and that we all feel that Apple is ignoring us.  I'm hoping they come up with a fix soon, but in the meantime this workaround saves us all from the rollback/update/restore headaches we've all been experiencing.

Done this morning - for ref - here is my edited version of the post - lets hope these message illicit some response!

"When will iCloud for Windows support Outlook 2016?

The number of affected users appears considerable from the volume of posts on your own forums - let alone those independent of apple – and that number looks to be growing daily.

All are reporting identical issues and frustrations in syncing iCloud and Outlook (Calendar, Contacts…), and some threads have been running now since as early as August 2015. Nowhere in any of those threads – or in any other forum as far as I have been able to find – is there a response from yourselves (Apple). Indeed – the only indication that you are aware is in your documentation supporting the v5.0 release of iCloud for Windows where it simply states it’s not compatible with Outlook 2016!

As an industrial user of both the Apple and Microsoft platforms – and one who is part of a larger organisation where significant numbers of colleagues also rely on the interoperability of these two product sets, this issue is now having a material negative impact on our efficiency and productivity.

Before we are forced to look at alternatives, which in itself will cost significant amounts in time, effort and change if undertaken and executed, can you please at least indicate that you are aware, recognise and are working to address this issue. It would also really help if you could provide an expected timeline for a fix.

What I, and I believe most of those I see posting on the numerous threads on this subject, am most disappointed about, is the lack of communication from yourselves on this issue. Simply put – you need to communicate with your customers who just want to know you actually care about us!"

    Nice one Dom.

Now the rest of you, get that feedback sent to apple to keep them aware that this issue is affecting a lot of people.

    Bump

I also sent ANOTHER feedback to apple today.

If you are having the same compatability problem please send feed back to direct to Apple. (see the first post on this thread).

Apple may or may not read the comments on this forum, but surely they must aknowledge info submitted via the feedback forms. Lets keep the pressure on them by everyone sending details of the problem using this method. It may get fixed if enough people submit feedback.

    Howdy Besomdave,

Thank you for your feedback, and for encouraging others to leave feedback with iCloud for Windows and Outlook 2016 compatibility, we always appreciate it.  Be on the lookout for an updated version of iCloud for Windows soon which will add support for Outlook 2016.

iCloud for Windows currently supports Outlook 2007 through Outlook 2013. Support for Outlook 2016 will be available in an updated release soon. If you use Outlook 2016, you can access iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendars on iCloud.com.

Download iCloud for Windows - Apple Support

    Have a good one.

    Hi alex_h1

    Thanks for the responce.

But just how long is SOON going to be? Weeks or Months?

If Apple gave a timeframe for the update that would be really good, and help apease quite a few people here before they (as some have indicated) ditch their Apple hardware for another brand.

    Regards

    Dave W

Well since the release of icloud for windows 5.1, my ipad and iphone are now syncing happily with Outlook (2016).

So I guess we can now consider this thread closed.

Thanks to all who contributed to this thread and the various others concerning the sync problem.

    Cheers
