Photo slideshow has some other problems: If I select Shuffle off, Repeat photos off, it plays about 8-10 of the 76 and shuts the slideshow off and returns to the option list. If I make Shuffle off, Repeat photos on, it plays maybe 10-15 of the 76 then repeats photos it has already shown over and over before showing a new photo in the stream. I would think "Repeat Photos" would mean at the end of the album start at the beginning again, but the random repeats over and over in the middle is frustrating.

I'm unable to replicate that behaviour

Also with the music and the photo slideshow initiated separately when you back up from an album slideshow to the photos starting screen it shuts the music off and you have to double start all the time.

I'm unable to replicate that behaviour too.

It works fine for me it just has no option to start music from the slideshow settings.

Interesting, I have two new apple tv's and they both act the same. The most disturbing problem is playback of the photos in sequence without duplicates to the end of an album and then repeat or not back from the beginning does not happen on my two. That's the way the previous version worked. I can deal with the music being separate. As I stated earlier one situation is definitely a bug is that when running a photo slideshow with shuffle off and repeat off after a dozen or so photos, it varies, the slideshow stops and goes back to the slideshow options screen and stops. Of course the music keeps playing, ha, that's one good thing from initiating from the slideshow screen, the music stops when the slideshow does. I don't know about other users, but I use photo slideshow a lot more than the other features. Every day I am looking at pictures taken on iphone and other sources, or showing off albums of the over 15,000 photos on my iMac.

What options do you select when starting the slideshow? Are you viewing a album? If repeat is on does it go all the way to last photo and start again? So, no duplicates of photos are shown? My photos are on a iMac, yours? It is read over wifi, yours? I have over 7,000 photos, maybe it's the size of the library. I am using 64Gb Apple TV's. I really want to solve this, I am a amateur photographer and use this feature often. Thanks for all the inputs.

I see something similar with regard to the photos looping. It will play some, then play a few from earlier, then resume. Same album doesn't do that on the ATV 3 or 2. same settings that you had.

I'm wondering if it isn't doing that while getting the next images. It is odd because it is running on gigabit ethernet, so it shouldn't be bandwidth constrained.

Overall, it is a good upgrade, but it has some rough edges.

Sorry it's taken a while, but I've now been able to do some further testing.

Yes, if I choose large slideshows, I'm able to repeat this. It wasn't happening for those with a few dozen in, which is what I was using for testing since many more and it starts to get difficult to know whether you have seen them or not especially after a few loops. Once I put a large ( say 100) slideshow on, I started to see it throw a few slides in that had been shown before, however other than these 're-shows' it maintain the order of the album.
