Jan 2, 2016 1:48 AM in response to GreggersUKby razor911,It also doesn't transport me back in time or make me breakfast.
I understand that it is a much wanted feature, but you cannot just expect things when nowhere it has been stated that it is supported from the tvOS get-go.
The trick here is of course serving users with photo libaries of 100Gb+ on a 32Gb device, while still delivering stunning quality on 42" + displays.
-You can't save it to/have it in complete sync with the apple TV because of 32Gb limit (or 64Gb)
-You can't just remotely watch/stream it because the performance will be poor (given the millions and millions of users). Due to server or network bandwidth.
On an iPhone, it is possible because of the small screen, resolution is no problem.
Give them some time, it will come.

Jan 2, 2016 2:41 AM in response to razor911by MojoDK,Well if the free Flickr app can show my 240+ Gb photos fast on my 65", then we should be able to do the same with our paid iCloud photos - so I don't buy your reason.

Jan 2, 2016 2:57 AM in response to MojoDKby razor911,Well, the fact that there are working dedicated professionals @Flickr which have build a very nice and strong service through the years doesn't make it necessarily an easy thing for Apple to duplicate it. Or is it?

Jan 2, 2016 8:00 AM in response to razor911by Protodd,I bet if Apple only had to worry about photos it would be different. They could give you exactly what you want. But the fact is Apple does many things pretty **** well. But of course nothing is perfect so they have to make choices to decide where and what to update and when (on which device) that will be a benefit to the most number of of their consumers...

Jan 10, 2016 4:08 PM in response to Protoddby Ffogboy,The difficulty I have with this, is that iCloud photo library users have no way to edit the photoStream. Every blurry and failed pic is sent to my TV without he ability to remove it.

Jan 15, 2016 11:35 PM in response to GreggersUKby Kriskool,Same big disappointment here guys ! Turns out that the photos stream doesn't work well all the time Either. It Needs to be reloaded sometimes by signing out and in again. Otherwise you get blank thumbnails.... But the big confusion that let us think that ICloud Photo Library could appear on our Apple TV comes from the fact that apple is using the same Photos Icon on every devices !!! So this is misleading us and Apple should be blamed for that..
bad apple! Bad Apple !
