Q: iCloud Accounts

I've updated the primary e-mail address/Apple ID on my ipad but  when I open it, I'm still prompted to provide a password for the old e-mail address/Apple ID. In "Settings", the " iCloud" option still shows the old ID. When I click on the right arrow and choose "Contact information"  I get the correct information, Do I have two iCloud accounts? How do I fix this?
