Q: Is iTunes Match needed for each family member to share Apple Music?

I've invited my husband to be part of my Apple Music family account, but he cannot access the account using the Apple Music App. Does he need to pay for iTunes Match in order to share my music?

    My understanding is that you are trying to extend you Apple Music family account to your husband and having some difficulty with that. Is that right? Let's see if we can get you both on the road to enjoying Apple Music.

     

    This article describes how to set up Apple Music accounts including family accounts - Manage your Apple Music membership. Note specifically that "To use a Family membership to Apple Music, you must set up Family Sharing on your iOS device or Mac."
