How can I get iTunes songs to play on a Windows Phone?

I have a first generation iPad retina. An old iPod Touch with updating issues. And an aging iMac. And I love them all dearly. I just dig the way everything, for the most part, works together. But I not too long ago switched from a very basic flip phone to an extremely brief stint using a non internet bar phone for texting purposes without the convenience of a qwerty keyboard, and I might have gone for the newest iPhone, being very intrigued with the force touch, had I not always longed for a larger iPad. In the words of the Rolling Stones, you can't always get what you want. I don't mind dragging my iPad around when necessary, I like using it so much more than a laptop, but I now welcome the convenience and ease of just using my phone when I don't really need to go that big. So I settled for a much cheaper alternative and went with a not-too-small/not-too-big Microsoft Lumia Windows phone over an Android for my first smartphone. And I don't hate it. I can't say that I don't occasionally miss the added convenience of iOS but I think I can live without it for now. But here's the BIG BUT!!! Up until today I would carry my iPod (for music) and the Lumia 640 at the same time for practically everything else. Today I installed a 128gb SDXC card to complement the measly 8gb internal storage.

Does anyone know how I can transfer music from my Mac to be able to use it on a Windows Phone? In my search for an answer I keep coming across a Windows Phone App for Mac that no longer seems to exist. Microsoft doesn't have it. It was supposedly available in iTunes but it ain't there anymore. And every link I find takes me to nothing downloadable. So when I plug my Lumia into my Mac, it isn't recognized. To get the photos from my Lumia to my iMac, I had to physically put the SD card into the little drive in my mac. A bit of an inconvenience but a much better solution than what a T-Mobile rep suggested – sending them via email. There's got to be a not too difficult way to place some songs from my iTunes library into a format I can enjoy on my Windows Lumia! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
