250 songs and no shuffle?
SO I have several normal playlists and a single large smart playlist on my Apple Music but on my new Apple TV I can only see 250 tracks and no option to shuffle?
what gives?

If you can access your playlist through "computers" > "my music" (computer running iTunes on same network, home sharing on etc) then you do have shuffle option. Your playlists on iCloud/Apple Music/iTunes Match (or whatever its called these days) don't have a shuffle option (although apple playlists do)
