Annual plan

OUt of curiosity, as the 20gb plan has been automatically upgraded to 50gb for 99 cents monthly, will current annual plan 20gb subscribers get upgraded as well? Or do we have to switch to the monthly plan to get 50gb?

Hi SLK286,

The article below states that the pricing update for iCloud storage affected only those with monthly plans:

You can upgrade your iCloud storage from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC, and you can choose a total of 50 GB, 200 GB, or 1 TB. After you upgrade, we'll bill you monthly.1 See the monthly pricing per country below.

If you purchased a monthly plan before September 16, 2015, your account was upgraded automatically. If you're currently on an annual plan, you'll continue to renew annually at that rate. If you select a new monthly plan, your annual plan won't be available to you.

Cheers,
