Q: How can I not have the menu bar on my second display

I am using a Macbook Pro (2012) and have connected a 2nd display. The arrangement panel allow me to move the menu bar to either one. However now matter which display I choose the menu bar appears on both. How can I have the menu bar only on the selected display.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
