My magic mouse and track pad do not work on windows 10. I downloaded the latest boot camp drivers. Any ideas?

Hello!

I recently installed windows 10 on my iMac. I run Yoshemite. I installed the latest boot camp drivers. I have all the latest updates. The keyboard works with no problems but neither the magic mouse nor the track pad work at all. The control panel on windows shows that the mouse and track pad drivers are installed; however these devices do not work no matter what. Any idas?

Do you have the newer Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2?

In Windows -> Control Panel -> Device Manager -> HID Devices, do you have any Apple entries? Here is an example from a Windows 7 installation.

I can see the apple keyboard twice, apple IR but no apple mouse or track pad.

Can you manually install the Trackpad driver from the Drivers/Apple folder on your Bootcamp Installer USB?

I tried several times. I get the message "this program may have not been installed correctly". I clicked on the compatibility settings as well as on the trouble shooter but I had no luck.

Can you open the Bootcamp.xml using TextEdit and find the Product Version of the drivers you have?

Hello!

If I located this correctly, it says: Apple Inc. 5.1.5621. I redownloaded the drivers from the beginning from the Bootcamp on the Mac.

It is a 27 inch iMac OSX. When I downloaded the drivers from the Bootcamp assistant I was running Uosemite. Now I have El Capitan.

Can you go to BC Assistant, connect a USB2 drive and use only option 2 (Download Software...)? Your Product Version should be 6.x, not 5.x.

I tried to repeat the process one more time. I got the 5.1... version again. I can not download the bootcamp 6. The bootcamp assistant does not give me choice. It just downloads the drivers automatically. I have been trying to get the 6 but no luck.
