Does Apple TV4 support streaming of music from your iTunes Music library like the previous versions of Apple TV? I am not speaking of purchased contact from the iTunes Store but content you added to your computer by ripping CDs from your collection using iTunes

Yes it does. However I am finding the searching and sorting to be inadequate in the new Music interface - there is no way to quickly jump through the alphabetical list so you can only scroll down the whole thing endlessly, using search is no good because that only serves up another endless list of songs, there is no way to sort result by albums, sorting by artist also doesn't show albums.
