Where is Air Play on iPad Air 2 iOS9.1

Hi,

Before buying an Apple TV I want to make sure that I will be able to stream the video from my Tennis TV App onto the TV screen. I understand that this is done using Air Play. But I cannot find that icon in the control centre on my iPad.

So what do I need to do to get this to work? Does the icon only appear after an Apple TV has been set up? That's a bit of a gamble that the whole caboodle will work 😕

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi, Windows 7, Home Premium (32bit) + sp1

Hi

Yes it will appear when apple TV is on

I have just ordered the new apple TV .

But the older one works fine for streaming from iPhone / iPad

Also for mirroring .

Wendy_is, How/where did you get the dialog box/window showing a number of selectable on your iPad?

I have this same problem with my iPad Air 2. I'm trying to link my iPad weather to Apple TV but Air Play on the iPad.

hi budspwr if you mean the dialog box / window that is pictured in my first post, its the one that appears if you drag a finger up from the bottom of the screen. Apparently the option for Apple TV appears once you have one set up. I have not bought one yet, still debating whether I will ....

That worked and thanks. I had to go between the icons on the bottom-icons opened with large fingers.

Glad you found that. It works in any App and you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen in any position along there 🙂
