YouTube Playback Error on 4th Gen Apple TV?

I can't get more than a minute in on any video on the YouTube Apple TV app. It keeps citing a "server error". I have tried deleting and re-installing the app, reloading YouTube/re-linking the account with that weird code via desktop browser... but nothing works.

I have a solid WiFi connection on a dedicated 802.11ac network, and all other content (iTunes and Hulu) streams fine. Just YouTube that's the problem. I have searched around online and can't find anyone else with this problem, so I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out. Also, I have YouTube RED... Is that possibly an issue with the new Apple TV?

I really wanna get this fixed... 😟

It seems that this playback error is reported by many users http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-989379/apple-tv-app-login-issues, and it's hard to find an ultimate method. I have also come across with it.

After searching on google, I find downloadYouTube videos for offline playback is the only way i can do to solve this problen totally: http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/youtube-an-error-occured.html

Also, someone has provides solutions: http://www.errorfixcenter.com/apple-tv-youtube-is-not-working-many-post-but-no-s upport-from-apple-staff.html which can solve this problem temporarily. Good luck!

Thank you so much for replying! I suppose the brand new RED subscription is making this a not-so-widespread problem right now. That said, when I launched the YouTube App again last night, it was signed out of my account. I honestly forget if I left it that way or not, but after signing in and using that 8-digit code on another browser, videos seem to be playing fine so far. One difference during the setup/signin this time I noticed, which is odd, is that I had to use that Google G-XXXXXX verification number that came through my phone's SMS. I think this is part of the two factor authentication that has to be enabled, but this didn't happen until now, and it seems things are working.

So try and sign out. Maybe even restart the Apple TV after that, then sign back into YouTube. I'm hoping they've fixed this on their end.

Cheers!

No, this is still not working for me. I logged out and even restarted the Apple TV. I even turned on two factor authentication on Google and it still does not work. I still get this message: "Playback error. We are experiencing problems with our servers. Please try again later." YouTube is useless to me right now. I will cancel my YouTube RED subscription if this is not fixed soon.
