After updating El Capitan, now I get the "An unexpected error occurred while signing in." Can't do any software updates or load any new software. Please help.

Navigate to: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Delete networkinterface.plist
Reboot.
Navigate to: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Delete networkinterface.plist
Reboot.

The posted solution above did not help me. I can no longer log into MAS to use, update, or install any apps. This occurred after a routine shutdown and startup on Nov 13.
error message:
