wrong time zone when set to automatic

iphone 6+ failed to do DST on November 1st, 2015.

If I choose manual and the city of Los Angeles it sets to the correct local time and GMT -8.

In settings ->Date & Time ->

If I set to Automatically then is chooses Cupertino and GMT -7, and the time is off by one hour.

I do not think GMT -7 is correct for Cupertino.

If I choose manual and the city of Los Angeles it sets to the correct local time and GMT -8.

Of course when the phone did not change time automatically the alarm did not go off.

I always thought Cupertino and Los Angeles were the same time zone so the phone using Cupertino did not bother me too much

when the phone was new.

Did anyone else have the phone not change time correctly for DST ?

Has anyone noticed the wrong GMT when using automatic ?

Same here. I have 5 iOS devices. Three Verizon iPhone 6, one AT&T iPhone 6 and one 3rd gen iPad. All are running iOS 9.1. Two of the Verizon phones failed to show the correct time after the switch to eastern standard time. Both show etc/gmt +4 as the time zone. The third Verizon iPhone and the other two iOS devices show the correct time and correct time zone (New York). I've tried toggling Set Automatically on the two failing Verizon phones. After a few seconds, the etc/gmt +4 time zone reappeared. I also tried shutting down all open apps and restarting the phones. That also did not resolve the issue. For now, Set Automatically has been disabled on both phones.
