Q: iPhone 6 on ios 9.0.2 ITUNES BACKUP MAJOR ISSUE
HEY I NEED HELP IN A MAJOR WAY!
I am on 9.02. I always back up my data in itunes NOT on the cloud. Normally i backup my data in itunes then install the latest and greatest ios. I did that with ios 9 and having major issues. I am on Itunes 12.3.1.
After installing to ios9, i tried to restore my iphone backup to the phone. it goes through whole process and when its done, it does NOT INSTALL ANY APPS AT ALL.
1. i have apps no longer on app store
2. i have versions of apps i refuse to update as I like the version of some apps i am on (i.e. my NAS server app, some of my music apps, etc)
NO matter what I try it is not putting my apps back on my phone.
I have read it has to do with the app thinning/slicing which if true rendered majority of my apps useless. I read that you have to redownload all your apps and the data will be there again. I tried that with my DS Audio app and was not the case. None of my music that downloaded offline was there. I tried with some of my note apps and was also not the case.
I need help and cannot figure out what to do. This is a horrible fix apple has done. I dont care to ahve my apps thinned or sliced, i bought the 64gb for a reason. leave my apps alone. How can i restore the full view of my apps. I shouldnt be forced to have updated apps. Especially if i travel alot & my internet connection is poor to slow. I have over 2-300 apps i have to manually update??!
