Q: my new mac has less boot storage than the new. There is more files in total than I can see when looking. will migration address the problem.

the new iMac has .5tb. The old 1tb. I look at the files to deleted and can only find about 250g still there. that is about 400g that I cannot access. What is it? and will the migration deal with this disparity?
