Running 1 iTunes library on 2 computer simultaneously

I have a Mac mini as a server and a Macbook Air. When I have iTunes open on one computer, the other reports it is locked out of the library. So to run iTunes on the laptop I must first quit iTunes on the Mini. Is there a way to work around this?

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), Server 5.0.15 installed on Mac Mini

you cannot run the same library more with more than one user/computer at a time.

Just enable Home Sharing to view the library on the server.
