Macbook Pro bluetooth to Amazon Echo

1. Restart your Macbook

2. Say to Alexa “Pair”

3. You should see Echo inside your bluetooth

My Macbook Pro was connected to Spectrum, and streamed the audio to my Echo; It worked fine for several weeks, then just quit working for no apparant reason. 😠 My Macbook Pro still plays the video, (Spectrum is my ISP) and it say's I'm connected to 'Echo' to stream the sound via 'Bluetooth', but the sound only comes through the Macbook Pro. I can connect my iPhone 6S Plus, and my Mini 3 and they both will stream the video, and stream the sound through my Echo.

I have a 6S plus, a mini 3, and a Macbook Pro, and Spectrum is my ISP; All three would stream live TV, and stream the sound to my Echo device until recently. I'm running 'ElCapitan' on the MacBook Pro and just 'out of nowhere it quit streaming the sound to my Echo from my Macbook Pro. I was on the phone with Apple support for a couple hours last week and the tech (who was in Oaklahoma) finally managed to get it working again. I can't back track and duplicate his steps, but something he did fixed it temporarily. The next day it was back to not streaming the sound from the MacBook again.

It says it's paired, and it even shows up as being paired to the Echo in the MacBook menu, but still does not stream the sound.

It seems that clearing the cache, and history remedied my problem.
