Our macbook screen is suddenly darker than before, making some movies too dark to see well. The F1 and F2 buttons are for brightness, I believe? But using them makes no difference, so I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?

I understand that your MacBook Air display is darker than usual. Lets start with adjusting your brightness by going through System Preferences. You may want to disable Automatically adjust brightness temporarily to see if this corrects the issue.
- If you have a Mac with ambient light sensing, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display. Select “Automatically adjust brightness.”
- Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display. Drag the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness of your display.

Thank you, Jason, for your contribution. We actually figured out last night that we could adjust the color under 'Displays', and we changed it to the other option--I think it was 180. That worked perfectly!! Maybe that might help someone else who has the same problem?
