I got a pop-up asking saying my system has been breached and blocked. It asked me to call this number 877-525-5644. I did and the Indian guy said I have to pay $220 dollars to fix my system.

That is a scam. The guy would tell you that he works for apple and trying to let you go to www.support me and download a software which is LogMeIn Rescue. After that, he would trying to get your permit for remote control your computer. What happened to me is I did what he said. Then he asked me paying them to solved the problem. Once I refused, the guy was deleting everything from my computer and emptying trash. I was fighting for my computer, shutting it down as soon as I could. Those are very bad people. Good luck!
